National Jewelry and mineral show coming to Cincinnati

Whether jewelry or beads made by renowned artists, or gems, crystals, fossils or minerals curated by collectors—the GemStreet USA Show & Sale features one-of-a-kind finds from all corners of the globe. Discover them under one roof at the Sharonville Convention Center. The show stops in Cincinnati for one weekend only, March 1-3.

“Our boutique show offers specialty items that you won’t find at local stores or malls,” says Jane Strieter Smith, the GemStreet’s producer. “Don’t miss stunning clay beads from Africa, meteorites from Argentina and amethyst from Brazil.”

One of our newest exhibitors is Kevin Burgart of CurioGrove. Since 1994, he’s been collecting and selling a colorful variety of mineral specimens and fossils found internationally. Specific items he’s bringing to Cincinnati include smoky citrine points, tourmalated quartz points, fluorite specimens, ametrine and banded amethyst points, mineral palm stones, pyramids, lapis, dioptase, mineral specimens including UV specimens, fossils, moldavites and Libyan desert glass, plus much more.

In addition to mineral and fossil experts, you’ll find lots of bling, too, at the three-day show. The latest spring/summer jewelry trends that incorporate intricate beadwork and wire wrapping will be on display, along with all colors of gemstones and pearls. And if you want to make your own jewelry, you will also find an array of beading supplies, tools and educational materials.

The ladies of GemStreet USA also love hosting school trips and scout troops. Students from kindergarten through high school get in free, and teachers and accompanying parents pay half price admission to any of our shows. Students will learn all about fascinating minerals, fossils, meteorites and more. Just call Jane Strieter Smith to reserve your spot, 216-521-4367.

Show hours are Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets are $6 general admission and free for children under 12. The ticket is good all weekend. The Sharonville Convention Center is located at 11355 Chester Road in Cincinnati. For more information, contact organizer Jane Strieter Smith at 216-521-4367
